This popular annual event not only attracts motoring enthusiasts from far and wide but those looking for an enjoyable day out in a dynamic modern metropolis. As a popular weekend destination, Canary Wharf will be buzzing with activity over Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 June as Londoners and those from further afield enjoy its world-class lifestyle offering.
Motorexpo visitors will have the unique opportunity to get behind the wheel of some of the most important, yet-to-be-launched high mpg and low carbon cars at Drive the Future in Canary Wharf’s Montgomery Square. Elsewhere, in the RaceRoom in Jubilee Place, visitors can go head-to-head on state-of-the-art simulators to win the chance to live the life of an F1 star for the day and drive at Hungary’s famous Hungaroring circuit. Daring drivers can also pit their skills against those of former F1 World Champion, Nigel Mansell OBE, who will set his own time on the simulator.
The Stars of Disney Pixar brand new international spy adventure, Cars 2, will be making an exclusive appearance at this year’s Motorexpo in Canary Wharf, London. Leading race car Lightening McQueen will be on display at the motor show all week and be joined by his new co-star Finn McMissile, voiced by Michael Caine, between Monday and Wednesday. Cars 2 is the eagerly awaited sequel to Cars which grossed nearly $462 worldwide and is due for release in the UK on 22 July 2011.
Those keen to explore further afield at Canary Wharf will discover a vibrant destination characterised by its art, culture, iconic architecture and exciting restaurant and shopping. Motorexpo is not only a chance to enjoy one of the UK’s finest motor shows but an opportunity for the whole family to enjoy a day out. Whether it’s lunch at one of Canary Wharf’s leading restaurants, including ROKA, Plateau, the parlour, Canteen, Rocket, Jamie’s Italian and, most recently, Boisdale of Canary Wharf, or a foray into fashion at one of Canary Wharf’s leading brands, this dynamic community has something for everyone.

Not only is Motorexpo Britain's biggest free motor show, it is also the most interactive, taking advantage of the urban environment in and around the Canary Wharf estate. Visitors are encouraged to touch and explore the diverse range of vehicles on display throughout the indoor and outdoor public spaces, and they can also get behind the wheel of many exciting new cars. | |
