Part four: my long awaited test drive of the Range Rover Evoque

I have waited a long time, but finally, it was my turn to try out this amazing car

evoque1-large.jpgFresh from honeymoon in Mauritus (that is another story!) and full of anticipation, the day had finally arrived to try out the New Range Rover Evoque.

Marc Sack, our very friendly and efficient Sales guy from Edenbridge Land Rover, was waiting with a real 'twinkle' in his eye, very keen to let us try out the delights of this altogether different spirited car. It certainly did not disappoint.

Range Rover itself describes it as an utterly contemporary design with sporty, dynamic profile. Range Rover Evoque creates a new class it can call its own. The Evoque incorporates an interpretation of classic Range Rover design cues including the signature clamshell bonnet, the floating roof and the 'prepared for anything' wheel at each corner stance. I could not have put it better myself.

I will not go into all the technical things at this point, to be honest I am but a mere 'real girlie' and certain technology confuses me at the best of times.

From the moment we got into the car though, I loved it. It just felt like 'me'.

The size of the car in particular is not overpowering, (something I had previously found with Range Rover, as I am only 5ft 2 inches!) The design is both sophisticated but practical. Easy and straightforward dash instruments. Good visibility, even though, my first instinct was the rear mirror was a little small. Sitting in the driving seat, this soon evaporated.

All too soon the test drive came to an end, but it left me full of excitement of getting my very own Range Rover Evoque. Mine is due for delivery the first week of November. I promise to 'swot' up in the meantime, with all the little extras that Range Rover have incorporated in this fantastic car and fill you in, in due course.
